Supporting Safety on The Move

From large community events to neighborhood patrols, Edina’s motorcycle officers provide a highly visible and approachable presence throughout the city.

Used from spring through fall, the Motorcycle Unit consists of two Harley-Davidson Police Edition Electra Glide motorcycles. Their mobility helps officers navigate busy events, roadways, parks and neighborhoods while supporting traffic safety and other public-safety efforts.

The motorcycles also create natural opportunities for community connection. Residents, especially children, often stop to meet the officers, ask questions and take a closer look at the bikes.

The Edina First Responders Fund helps pay for specialized riding uniforms and equipment for the unit, supporting officers as they protect the community and build relationships along the way.
